Principles of Rolfing (6): “Gravity is the Therapist”

Dear friends,

I am offering another “lockdown video” in the spirit of maintaining communication while under the constraints of the coronavirus phenomenon. Ida Rolf once said that “for the integrated body, Gravity is the therapist.” What did she mean? In this video, I tried to offer the very beginning of what could eventually become an answer. I tried to describe some ways in which the philosophy behind Rolfing is consistent with the method on the one hand and with basic facts of life that we all share on the other. I hope some find this video helpful and inspiring.

Until we meet again,

Max
